At halftime, it’s 1-1 between France and Argentina in the first last 16 clash at this year’s World Cup.

France were dominant in the opening quarter and they took a deserved lead after just 13 minutes when Antoine Griezmann scored from the penalty spot after Kylian Mbappe was brought down by Marcus Rojo in the box.

France dropped a gear for the rest of the half and they find themselves level at the break due to Angel Di Maria’s stunning strike on the stroke of halftime.

The former Manchester United man picked the ball up outside the box and with time and space on his side, he smashed a curling beauty into the top corner from about 25 yards which Hugo Lloris had no chance of stopping.
