Following a summer of speculation, Kevin de Bruyne is at last a Manchester City player after the club confirmed his arrival today.

The club record £54.5 million deal means the Belgium international is the fifth new signing Manuel Pellegrini has brought in this summer, with his side already having had a positive start to the new season.

He joins Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi as another of the Citizens’ marquee signings in this window in addition to the recruitment of Fabian Delph and Patrick Roberts.

In his first interview with the club, De Bruyne speaks about his experiences both in England, with Chelsea, as well as last season with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

The 24-year-old also discusses playing with his new team-mates, the level of competition within Manchester City’s squad and how he hopes by the end of the season the Manchester club will have some trophies to celebrate.
