Katie Taylor produces masterclass to beat Chantelle Cameron
Katie Taylor beats Chantelle Cameron at 3 Arena in Dublin.
Katie Taylor is the two-weight undisputed champion of the world.
She defeated England’s Chantelle Cameron in tonight’s much anticipated clash at the 3Arena in Dublin in the most masterful of fashions.
An impressive start from Cameron suggested Taylor would be in for another gruelling evening – as has been the case in many of her recent fights.
However, it soon became apparent that the Bray warrior was in top condition and top form. As the rounds elapsed, the former Olympic Champion showed more and more of her undoubted class.

Katie Taylor wins her fight at 3Arena.
A cut to Cameron’s head became a major talking point and she required attention from her corner after each round to clean up her blood.
The image of Cameron’s blooded forehead, the rumbling noise of the Irish crowd and the possessed display from Taylor made it feel like there was only going to be one winner.
That sense of inevitably beamed from the third round and sustained itself right ’til the end when Taylor raised her gloves in euphoria.

Before Taylor could snap out of her flow-state trance, she took the mic and called for an epic trilogy decider at Croke Park.
The home of GAA was previously considered two expensive a venue for promoter Eddie Hearn to afford, but it now seems that nothing will get in the way of creating an otherworldly night for professional women’s boxing.
Not that there was any doubt before, not that there were any questions before, but tonight took Taylor’s legend to another level.
Written off by some, an underdog to most; she was in uncharted territory tonight but her incredible performances levels hit new heights on the biggest of stages.
Well, nearly the biggest of stages. The next time we see her in action it could be an event from a different universe entirely.
And that’s how it should be for an Irish sporting hero who has inspired millions with years of superhuman displays.
Take a bow.
