Watch: Floyd Mayweather’s Disgusted Reaction To His Fighter Losing Split Decision

With the chaos that was Mayweather/McGregor finally over and done with, it’s business as usual for Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather…

On Saturday night, Ronald Gavril, a fighter in the Mayweather Promotions stable, took on 20-year-old David Benavidez with the WBC super middleweight title on the line.

Despite the fact that he knocked down his opponent in the 12th round, Gavril lost the bout via split decision with two of the three judges scoring the fight for Benavidez.

Speaking after the bout, The Money Team fighter stated (per badlefthook) that he felt he had won the contest and that he would be looking for a rematch.

“I feel I won the fight. I dominated the fight. I can’t say nothing. It’s the judges,” Gavril said. “The only thing I can do is a rematch.”

At 20 years of age, Benavidez is now the youngest boxing champion in the world with last night’s bout being his first twelve round contest.

“I started off to see if I could knock him out. I didn’t get reckless, but then I wanted to work a little more on defense in my first 12-round fight,” Benavidez said. “I hurt him in the last four rounds. But that came around to bite me in the ass. I got a reckless, I got knocked down. The dude was a tough fighter.”

With Gavril being part of The Money Team, Floyd Mayweather was watching on in the crowd with Showtime executive, Stephen Espinoza. Needless to say, both men seemed to be absolutely disgusted by the result.
