Watch: Dana White Finally Reveals The Truth Behind The Mayweather-UFC Rumours

Although Conor McGregor stepped into Floyd Mayweather’s domain in August and competed in a professional boxing bout against the undefeated 40-year-old, we will not see Mayweather return the favour anytime soon.

There had been strong rumours circulating in recent weeks linking Floyd with a sensational foray into the UFC octagon, however, that fairytale has been put to bed by the promotion’s president in a recent TMZ interview.

It was White who originally spilled the beans on a potential Mayweather-UFC link-up in the coming year, but he has been forced to clarify his position on the ongoing negotiations between ‘Money’ and the leading promotion in mixed martial arts.

The world of MMA is a venture too far out of Floyd Mayweather’s comfort zone and every true combat sports fan knows exactly that.

If he were to step inside the Octagon, the likelihood is he would dismantled in a matter of seconds.

Whereas McGregor lasted ten rounds in their August 26 showdown in the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Floyd is given no hope by critics, pundits, and fans alike were he to step into the world of his Irish nemesis.

Check out the clip below where Dana clears up what the UFC are truly in negotiations with Mayweather about.

White is excited to move into the boxing promotion game in 2018 and sees Floyd as a business partner in that venture.
