Heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua has been spending some time in Las Vegas this week and he made visiting Floyd Mayweather a priority during his stay as ‘Money’ prepares to throw down with Conor McGregor.
‘AJ’ made it clear whose side he is taking in the August 26 showdown in the T-Mobile Arena.
Joshua declared his support for the undefeated 40-year-old ahead of the bout and went on to question the audacity of McGregor to trash talk Mayweather so viciously throughout last week’s world press tour.
“I’m with Mayweather, I’m a fan of the TMT camp.”
In reference to the UFC star’s brash approach to the media obligations carried out in LA, Toronto, New York and London, the Olympic gold medalist had this to say:
“You can’t talk shit like that to a champion.”
Joshua hung around the Mayweather Boxing Gym for pictures with all requesting patrons and seemed in jovial spirits as he joked around with Floyd.
The Watford fighter also speculated that the next time we see him in the ring is likely to be around November time, with Vegas being the suggested venue.
His next opponent is yet to be confirmed, with the Wladimir Klitschko rematch highly touted along with American Deontay Wilder’s name constantly in the mix. While it remains to be seen whether the Ukrainian former kingpin of the heavyweight division has decided to hang up his gloves or whether he will attempt to avenge his loss to Joshua in that epic Wembley clash back in April, Wilder’s name is one that won’t go away and ‘The Bronze Bomer’ appears to be holding out for a crack at AJ. Not to mention, Tyson Fury, a man hell bent on scrapping it out with Joshua, is on the comeback trail.

And, just to verify that there is $1 million in that bag, here’s a clip of Mayweather counting it as he packs it away:
