Last week, Kildare singer/songwriter Mick Konstantin shot to fame once again with the release of ‘There’s Only One Conor McGregor’. The school teacher posted the video to his Facebook page, and it spread virally across the world, garnering millions of views within hours.

There's Only One Conor McGregor – Mick Konstantin

Just throwing up the yearly tune, and for the month that's in it, thought I'd do one on Conor McGregor, and the fight coming up against Mayweather. Tried to get as many of his famous lines in as possible, so hope ye like it!And if anyone out there knows Conor personally, feel free to pass the song on to him, sound! Lyrics:A kid from Dublin with more than a dreamHe knew one day he'd be the king of the UFCWith a group of fighting Irish not to be pushed overNot here to take part they were here to take overFrom the start John Kavanagh by his sideWhoever thought they'd be known worldwideAfter 60g's baby and a contract to signLeaving his old life and the social welfare behindAfter 2 years came the featherweight champion of the worldConor said he'd make him look like a little girlIt only took ten seconds to show his talk wasn't cheapAs he connected with the left, and put ALDO TO SLEEP!There's only one Conor McGregor, and there's no fighter betterAnd he's going to knock out Floyd MayweatherSo Floyd watch out cos the Irish are comingYou can talk all you want, buy you'll do nothin! The lightweight belt was next in storeTo do what no other fighter had ever done beforeBecame the first same time double champ in historyAnd took the chance to apologize to absolutely nobodyCame from working on a building siteTo getting million dollar pay cheques from Dana WhiteAnd now his money, his cars and his clothes he flauntsCos the double champ does what the f**k he wantsMayweather, your old and your smallAnd the truth is that you'll do feck allCos precision beats power and timing beats speed"Why have you got a school bag Floyd you can't even read"Well he dresses to kill, buys lamborghinis at willCan get inside your head like he was Dr. PhilAnd if you call him out, have a good reason whyOr he'll turn around and say who the f**k is that guyAnd on the 26th of August we're taking over VegasThe Irish invasion you can't mistake usSinging songs day and night til our voices are soreCos when one of us goes, we all go to war!!

Word soon reached Conor McGregor as he prepares for his bout with Floyd Mayweather. The Notorious One elected to pay for Mick and a friend to fly out to Las Vegas next week, book them a hotel and give them tickets to the fight.

“It’s all been a bit crazy really” quipped Konstantin, “I really love creating music people enjoy, I could never have dreamt that the song would have reached the heights it has.”

“I couldn’t believe it” continued Konstantin, “McGregor’s team rang me the following day and told me McGregor loved the song. That was amazing that he heard the song and liked it, but McGregor and his team asked if I’d like to go to the fight. It was a dream come true”

Konstantin has now released the single, which is available on iTunes and Spotify.

“The support I’ve received for this song has been immense, and I’m going to have the trip of a lifetime to see McGregor in action in Vegas. I felt I had to give something back. I have decided to donate all iTunes sales of “There’s Only One Conor McGregor” until the fight to a charity Conor supports. The proceeds of the sales will go to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin” detailed Mick Konstantin, “I’d love to see the hospital benefit from this and see the proceeds going to a good cause.”

Judging by the reaction to his last hit single, Takin’ Over France, which rose to the top of the charts in Ireland last summer, we expect There’s Only One Conor McGregor to take the same trajectory!
