Manny Pacquiao Latest To Claim That He Would Be Willing To Box Conor McGregor

With the world wrapped up in the ongoing Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor saga, Manny Pacquaio has now stated that he would also be willing to box the Irishman.

Speaking to Fox Sports, the Philippine boxer stated that he had not even seen footage of the 28-year-old sparring, but that he would be willing to box him regardless. However, Pacquiao did state that he would not be willing to take on the 28-year-old in an MMA bout.

“In boxing? In boxing [I would fight McGregor] but not in the UFC, just boxing,” Pacquiao said.

“I didn’t see footage of Conor sparring,” Pacquiao said. “But if we are talking about Conor McGregor and boxing, it’s different. Boxing is different than MMA.”

With Floyd Mayweather claiming that he is the ‘A-Side’ in fight negotiations and should receive a hugely superior sum than the Irishman for the bout, McGregor has stated that he doesn’t care about Floyd and is ‘looking for anyone’.

Now, with a superstar at the level of Manny Pacquiao calling him out, McGregor will surely have another card to play in negotiations as he looks to assert the fact that he is bringing just as much to the table as Floyd is.
