Paulie Malignaggi Seems Pretty Certain About Conor McGregor’s Next Opponent

Looks like Paulie Malignaggi isn’t going to stop talking about Conor McGregor anytime soon…

With Conor McGregor set to sit down for an hour long interview with Dan Hardy at the end of the month, there is huge speculation surrounding who the Irishman will fight next.

The UFC champion is such a massive star that he has been picking his opponent’s in the UFC for some time. However, coming off the back of (what will likely be recorded as) the biggest pay-per-view sporting event of all time, there has never been so many contenders to take on the Dubliner.

Kevin Lee and Tony Ferguson are set to throw down for the interim lightweight title at UFC 216 with both believing that the winner will inevitably face the SBG man. Meanwhile, two of McGregor’s coaches have stated that they would like to see the 29-year-old settling his score with Nate Diaz in a trilogy bout next.

However, given the never ending back and forth that went on between them prior to the ‘Money Fight’, there is also huge interest in seeing McGregor taking on another boxing bout against Paulie Malignaggi.

The former two-time world champion has made no secret of his interest in taking on the Irishman inside the squared circle and, taking to Twitter on Wednesday, he once again attempted to antagonize the MMA star claiming McGregor was afraid to fight him.

Despite his obvious interest, Malignaggi seems pretty certain that McGregor/Diaz III will be next. However, he didn’t leave things go without having one more pop at the UFC champion, claiming he was ‘too embarrassed’ to release the complete footage from their second sparring encounter.
