Conor McGregor this week announced that he would be fighting Floyd Mayweather. The Notorious one declared that his side of the contract was signed, and that they were now waiting on the undefeated boxer to get his paperwork out of the way before the duo could throw down.
Speaking about the fight for the first time since McGregor’s announcement earlier in the week, Mayweather did not let on that he was fully set on returning to the ring, but revealed that if he does return, it is more than likely that it will be against Conor McGregor.
“When Floyd Mayweather fights, it’s history. I’ve broken every record. The only thing I will be doing is chasing my records.
“If I do fight, there’s a 90% it’s against Conor McGregor.”
The 49-0 boxer does have some compliments for McGregor, and drew parallels between the two.
“Conor McGregor is a professional, and I’m a professional. He’s a stand-up fighter, and I’m a stand-up fighter. He kicks ass in the octagon, I kick ass in the ring. It’s still ass-kicking!”
