Conor McGregor has paid a heartwarming tribute to Muhammad Ali. ‘The Greatest’ passed away in Arizona overnight, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

This is not the first time that McGregor has paid respect to Ali as one of the greatest athletes of all time. In the run-up to UFC 196, many comparisons were thrown his way, but ‘The Notorious One’ was quick to play down any link between himself and ‘The Greatest’.

“I cannot accept a comparison like that.

“Muhammad Ali is a special man.

“He done things that are unthinkable, and he changed culture, period.

“I am honoured to be put in that bracket.”
