Former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton is the darling of Northern Ireland but it seems that there are still some who take issue with the much admired boxer.

During the weekend of his last fight in Las Vegas, many commented on how the boxer had such a uniting impact on the people of Ireland with one picture summing it all up.

Yesterday, he was pictured wearing an Antrim GAA jersey and The Saffrons’ official account tweeted out the picture thanking him for his support.

Of course, there are a few who are still stuck in the past, and one Twitter user was clearly unhappy with Frampton posing in the shirt.

The 30 year-old is noted for his speed inside the ring, and matched that with his wit in a quick and appropriate response.

Frampton is set to announce his next opponent in the near future after the news was confirmed that his trilogy fight with Leo Santa Cruz was off after the WBA instructed the Mexican to defend his title against Abner Mares.
