Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora is a fight that could happen in the not too distant future, and we are all for it.
Whyte showed in the promotion for his grudge match with Anthony Joshua that he is adept at the art of trash-talking and waging mental warfare. He managed to get AJ good and riled up, causing the Olympic gold medallist to fight in a more aggressive manner than usual. This gave Whyte the opportunity to land more shots and he even wobbled Joshua with a big counter-punch in the 2nd round.
In the end, Whyte’s efforts earned him a thoroughly unpleasant nap, but it was the most entertaining build-up and scrap of Joshua’s career thus far.
When you combine Whyte’s obvious talent’s for evoking emotional responses from opponents with Chisora’s well-documented volatility, things are likely to get very interesting.
In fact, we got a little sample of just how interesting on Tuesday, when iFL TV released footage that they captured of a heated confrontation between the pair.
