Watch: Paulie Malignaggi Slaps Artem Lobov At Heated Media Event

There is a weird rivalry brewing between former World champion boxer, Paulie Malignaggi and SBG fighter, Artem Lobov and it just went up a notch…

Malignaggi has been a long-time rival of Lobov’s main training partner, Conor McGregor after the pair became involved in some heated trash talk following Malignaggi’s involvement in McGregor’s camp ahead of his landmark fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

Footage was released of McGregor ‘flooring’ Malignaggi during a sparring session at the UFC Performance Institute and since then the New York native has constantly insulted the Irish man.

Since then it was long rumoured that the pair would clash inside the boxing ring but that never came to fruition.

However, a rivalry has since started between Malignaggi and Lobov after they both decided to embark on a bare-knuckle boxing career.

Lobov signed with Bare Knuckle FC earlier this year after requesting to be released by the UFC and will face Jason Knight this weekend in his promotional debut.

Malignaggi meanwhile is slated for a June debut against a to-be-determined opponent, but it is thought that the organisation wish to set up a fight between the feuding rivals.

The pair finally came face to face at a BKFC media event in New York this afternoon where a heated confrontation ensued.

The former World champion then proceeds to slap Lobov before the pair are dragged away by officials, one of which included UFC veteran, Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson.

Following the confrontation, Malignaggi can be heard screaming at Lobov as he is led away.

“Next time it’s a harder slap! That was a bitch slap for a bitch!” Malignaggi ranted after being dragged away by BKFC officials.

“Don’t get in my face and make threats here! I got in your face to promote! Don’t get in my face and make threats here, because I’ll f**k you up here!”
