Eddie Hearn has praised Jake Paul for “increasing Amanda Serrano’s value” ahead of her planned fight with Katie Taylor.
Serrano is signed up to the YouTuber turned boxer’s Most Valuable Promotions and recently fought on the main card of Paul’s first bout with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
A fight between Serrano, a world featherweight champion, and Taylor, the undisputed world lightweight champion, is getting ever closer and promises to be the biggest bout in the history of women’s professional boxing.
Matchroom Sport promoter Hearn was speaking on the DAZN Boxing Show and argued that Paul has helped greatly in securing bigger pay days for Serrano.
Eddie Hearn on Jake Paul and Amanda Serrano’s increased value.
“Jake Paul has done a brilliant job for her [Amanda Serrano]. He’s massively increased Amanda Serrano’s value,” Hearn said.
“She deserves this, the price that was offered three years ago, that’s not the price anymore. As they say, yesterday’s price is not today and Jake Paul’s a massive reason for that.
“Female boxing doesn’t get any bigger than this fight. I mean, in a way I want to stop saying ‘this is the biggest fight in female boxing.’ This is one of the biggest fights in boxing.”

‘The contracts are getting finalised at the moment.’
The fight between Taylor and Serrano is yet to be confirmed, but Hearn is confident that a deal can get over the line very soon and stated that the bout would take place this year.
“The contracts are getting finalised at the moment. We’re on the brink now,” Hearn explained.
“That’s the biggest fight in the history of female boxing. And it’s going to be a massive fight for boxing in 2022.”
