Daniel Dubois extended his perfect unbeaten record with a thunderous victory over Nathan Gorman to win the British heavyweight title in London last night.
As one of the finest heavyweight prospects in the sport today, seeing this 21-year-old add another finish to his record isn’t exactly surprising but the calibre of performance that he was able to turn in last night will fill his fans will hope for the future.
Facing a stern test in the form of the 16-0 Gorman, Dubois’ power was simply too much for his adversary to handle and once he was able to sense that he was fading, killer instinct took over and it was the beginning of the end.
At 21, of course, there will be quite a bit of maturation to be done on the part of Dubois but from we’ve been seeing fight-by-fight, it’s clear that his potential to become a real force in the division is warranted.

With his record now at 12-0, Dubois has managed to put together a solid resumé of names even now, at this early stage of his career.
With the British heavyweight strap now in his possession – a title that has been held by several huge names within the sport – it’s clear that Dubois will have gold in his future if he can continue to build on this momentum.
