Tyson Fury is being lined up for another outing across the pond, with reports linking him to a showdown against Swedish heavyweight, Otto Wallin.
And it’s not surprising that The Gypsy King is making a hasty return to US soil given the reception he earned for himself upon completely running through Tom Schwarz earlier this summer.
Fury is looking to recapture the consistency that had eluded him in recent years due to his well-documented personal issues outside of the ring and now, it appears as though he will have yet another test to overcome in the form of Otto Wallin before Winter arrives.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Wallin’s promoter Dmitriy Salita expressed his hope that the fight between Fury and Wallin will be signed and sealed for a September slot in Las Vegas, Nevada by as early as next week.
“I am very optimistic that the fight will be made.
“Once it is an announcement will be coming from Top Rank next week.”
The 28-year-old Wallin is a promising European prospect who has managed to win all twenty of his pro-fights to date, with thirteen of those victories coming by way of knockout.
And while he will no doubt be pegged as a massive underdog to the former champion Fury, recent history has shown us that absolutely anything can happen with these hard-hitting heavyweights.
All we need now is an official announcement.
