A rematch between top heavyweight boxers Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury is reportedly being looked at for one of two potential dates in the opening half of 2019.
According to reports from Boxing Scene, the gargantuan heavyweight rematch will take place in the Barclays Center on either April 27 or May 18 of 2019.
The first clash, which, of course ended under controversial circumstances, was seen as one of the best fights of last year and one of the most enthralling heavyweight title showdowns of the modern era.
Tyson Fury outboxed ‘The Bronze Bomber’ for the most part over the course of the fight’s twelve round duration but had to overcome a pair of brutal knockdowns in order to reach the final bell. Many had scored the fight for ‘The Gypsy King’ by a comfortable margin but some admittedly question scorecards had it as a draw.
Not content to leave it at that, it looks increasingly likely that the decision to strike while the iron is hot will be made and we will be enjoying Wilder/Fury II before long.
