Watch: Lomachenko Or Rigondeaux – Who Has The Better Highlight Reel?

Tonight will see two of boxing’s most skilled competitors throw down over twelve rounds but out of the two, who possesses a highlight-reel that best captures their undeniable skills as a pugilist?

It is finally upon us! A super-fight for the ages between two of boxing’s finest technicians will take place tonight, December 9 as Guillermo Rigondeaux takes on Vasyl Lomachenko over a scheduled twelve rounds in The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

Both men had been linked to a potential matchup for some time now after each establishing themselves as two of the most decorated amateur boxers to ever do it and with this pairing, could each record a win that would no doubt stand as the single greatest of their respective careers to date.

Lomachenko’s star-power has been steadily increasing on the back of several polished performances in recent times. His fluid and creative style has seen him dispatch his last six opponents and with his confidence increasing in every outing, he has been able to win over many casual viewers with his own elusive brand of showboating, something his ridiculous reflexes allow him to get away with almost without fail.

As a fighter, though, many would argue there is nobody better in the game today. He has displayed a skillset about as well-rounded as one could hope for in a modern boxer and with watertight defence, phenomenal footwork and the type of power to end Rigondeaux’s night if given the opportunity, it’s hard to argue that he’s well in the midst of that discussion.

In Rigondeaux, however, Vasyl will face off against one of the most astute fighters and intelligent counter-punchers in the business, a true genius at work who is a master at feeding off his opponent’s aggression. The Irish fans will, of course, remember his annihilation of Willie Casey back in 2011 and since that first-round victory, he has managed to pick up another nine straight.

Speed and timing will be the key ingredients to success in this one, and though both men boast incredible amounts of both, it will become clear early on who exactly will hold the advantages as these two amazing competitors finally lock horns.
