Katie Taylor faced off against the one woman standing her way of history, Delphine Persoon, during a recent media event ahead of their clash on Saturday.
The anticipation levels for this weekend’s lightweight title-unification bout are really starting to get somewhere, as one of the finest and most accomplished Irish athletes of the modern era looks to leave an undeniable stamp on her legacy.
Facing Belgium’s Persoon (43-1), who has not been defeated in nearly a decade, the Bray-native Taylor (13-0) will fight for the opportunity to unify the WBC, WBA, WBO IBF, and The Ring titles in a fight that she herself has declared to be the toughest of her career.
Ahead of Saturday night’s fight, both women faced off during a recent media day.
