In a shocking turn of events, Floyd Mayweather will once again end his retirement, this time to face one of Japan’s greatest kickboxers.
No, you’re not still sleeping.
Japanese fight promotion RIZIN FF announced the fight with a press conference this morning featuring both Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa.
Ariel Helwani of ESPN was the first to break the news, news that is sure to send the world of combat sports into a hysterical state of confusion.
RIZIN FF just announced that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will fight undefeated sensation Tenshin Nasukawa on 12/31 at the Saitama Super Arena. The press conference is live right now: https://t.co/NgAahdtrwT

Tenshin is a bonafide superstar in Asia who is perhaps best known to those abroad for his incredibly entertaining three-round exhibition bout with the former UFC flyweight challenger Kyoji Horiguchi earlier this year.
The pair were able to pack out the 37,000-capacity Saitama Super Arena, the very same venue that will host this admittedly bonkers pairing.
For Mayweather, there must be some serious money on the table to coax him out of potentially more lucrative showdowns in America but for now, we’ll keep you updated on this story as it unfolds.
