Watch: Deontay Wilder Scorches Dominic Breazeale In One Round

Deontay Wilder once again proved himself to be in the possession of freakish punching power as he ran through Dominic Breazeale in 137 seconds.

If 40 KO’s from 42 fight hasn’t been enough to impress you, I doubt you’re ever going to fully appreciate the incredible levels of danger this man brings with him to the ring each and every time.

In his first outing since facing off in a thriller against the former undisputed champion Tyson Fury, Wilder looked to do to Dominic Breazeale what he couldn’t to The Gypsy Kind and boy, did he show his intentions early.

Catching Breazeale with the first hard-shot really seemed to signal a major change in the energy in the arena changed completely. While Breazeale initially put the pressure on his adversary – as you will see below – Wilder’s power was well and truly the difference here and the eventual KO was nothing short of brutal.

Of course, there was quite a bit of controversy in the lead-up to this fight after Wilder made some comments about wanting to exercise his right to kill Breazeale inside the ring.

Speaking on the subject of these comments now that the fight was through – The Bronze Bomber’s words were a far cry from those he had been projecting earlier this week.

“I just told Breazeale I love him and of course I want to see him go home to his family.

“I know we say some things but when you can fight a man and then you can hug him and kiss him, I wish the world was like that.

“We shake hands and we live to see another day and that’s what it’s all about.” (via CBSSports)
