Ireland’s Michael Conlan will return to the ring on St Patricks Day, facing Ruben-Garcia Hernandez in Madison Square Garden.
Sunday the 17th will be the date that Conlan attempts to go 11-0 – this time by taking out the experienced Ruben-Garcia Hernandez in New York.
It appears at this point that Conlan will be the headlining attraction this time around as he looks to add another impressive victory to his growing resumé – a resumé that has allowed his skillset to grow noticeably since he made the switch to pro back in 2017.

Garcia-Hernandez will enter the ring on March 17 with a 24-3 record (10 KO’s) and a wider range of experience, at least on the pro-circuit than his opponent.
Still, though, the Belfast man who will share the ring with him brings with him an extensive run in the amateurs and should come into this one as a strong favourite.
Last seen in December as he defeated Jason Cunningham in the Manchester Arena in England, Conlan fought five times in 2018 – going a perfect 5-0 (2 TKO’s) and will no doubt be hoping to advance himself even further in 2019.
