Artem Lobov Slams ‘Loser’ Paulie Malignaggi After Presser Skirmish

Artem Lobov and Paulie Malignaggi’s first press conference was an incredibly heated affair that culminated in rather ugly fashion once the staredown commenced.

It’s pretty safe to say that nobody wanted to see the SHOWTIME analyst spit on The Russian Hammer after their fiery back-and-forth was through but after about twenty minutes of insults, Malignaggi took things to another level entirely.

Speaking in an interview with MMAJunkie, Lobov criticised the former two-weight world champion boxer both for spitting on him as well as spitting on a mural of Conor McGregor in a video released via his social media channels.

“Look at this guy; he’s a loser. He spits on people’s work. He spat on a mural, someone’s passion, someone’s hard work.

“Now again, what kind of behaviour is that? That’s not human, human-like behaviour. This guy, he is just, no respect, no nothing. So I can’t wait to put him away from the fans. Everyone in the world wants me to kill this ****.

“I don’t give a **** what he’s trying. I think he’s just him being him, a dirty ****. I bet you his own mother hates him.”

The betting odds, according to the BKFC brass, are ever-so-slightly skewed in the SBG man’s favour – despite Paulie’s extensive experience and achievements in the ring.

Lobov went on to cite his own activity and quality training as the main reason he will gain the upper-hand when June 22 comes around.

“I’m going to train hard. I get the hardest sparring partners. A lot of very, very good boxers, you know? He said I never fought a boxer before. He was never that exceptional. Malignaggi is old and slow and finished. There’s nothing there that he can surprise me with.

“We’ve seen it all. I’ve sparred with guys, and I always take the strongest challenges. He’s not going to surprise me at all.”
