Conor McGregor Expands On Mid-Fight Comments To Khabib Nurmagomedov

Conor McGregor has taken to Instagram to have a go at both Khabib Nurmagomedov and the former world champion boxer Paulie Malignaggi.

UFC 229 was an event that sent a ripple through the MMA world that is still being felt to this day.

Of course, the post-fight skirmish that followed the main-event pairing of Nurmagomedov and McGregor was about as memorable as any incident we’ve ever seen in this sport but even now, the fight and the antics that came after are as relevant as ever.

At this point it is unclear when – and even if – either man will fight again but with that being said, there is still quite a bit of discussion and debate over what transpired inside the T-Mobile Arena that night.

Conor McGregor himself took to his official Instagram to add further insight into the four-round fight, attacking Khabib almost passively for what he perceived to be an over-dependence on the referee that night.

Famed boxing analyst Paulie Malignaggi also got a shout-out – a man who is best known to MMA audiences for his rather bizarre feud with the Irishman in 2017.

Let the record show. I like Paulie Malinaggi. Here is a confrontation between us regarding a picture he was upset about. Yes you heard that right. A picture. I told him here to his face. “Don’t be bitching.” Common knowledge I would think for a fighting man. Don’t be a bitch, bitching. The same thing I said to khabib at the end of round 3. My round. Don’t be bitching! Every single round bitching to the referee. He was even bitching in the fourth round from mount position. It baffled me. If anyone should have been saying anything to the referee, it should have been me in that 1st round. That round he held onto my legs for four minutes straight. With zero activity. But a fight is a fight who gives a fuck. Crying to the referee like a proper bitch. I was trying to dig my fingers into his Adams Apple. Many individuals in the fight business, I have learned lately, are absolute bitches. I know you’s are broke boys. But don’t be broke bitches.
