Jon Jones has been confirmed for his first UFC bout since UFC 214, facing Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 in December.
Ariel Helwani broke the news earlier that Jones and Gustafsson will have their rematch by the year’s end – with a December 29 meeting at UFC 232 now reportedly confirmed.
Their first bout was one of the greatest fights in the history of the sport and if what Helwani says is true, the 205lb belt will be on the line once again.

Daniel Cormier is set to be stripped of his title despite having defended it earlier this year in January with the title becoming vacant as soon as the first punch between Jones and Gustafsson is thrown.
The heavyweight champ Cormier has been confirmed to face Derrick Lewis at UFC 230 in the night’s main-event and one would have to assume that his active position as heavyweight champ has caused the UFC to make this move.
