Former Armagh football captain, Ciarán McKeever, has been appointed as manager of the county’s minor side for 2019.
It is the first foray into inter-county management for the 35-year-old who retired in August of 2017 after a 14-year playing career with the Armagh senior footballers.

He will take over the role from 2002 All-Ireland winner Paul McGrane.
During his playing career, McKeever won four Ulster titles with Armagh while he has also represented Ireland on a number of occasions during the International Rules Series.
Armagh suffered an early exit from this year’s Ulster Minor championship following a three-point loss to Down in round one before a heavy defeat by Derry in the provincial qualifiers.
