The replay between Cuala and Na Piarsaigh in the AIB All-Ireland Club Hurling Championship final will take place in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise this Saturday at 5:30PM. The CCCC have come to a decision on the issue today.
The previous two champions couldn’t be separated after extra-time in Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day, as it finished 1-22 to 2-19.
The match will be part of a double-header, as the Allianz National Hurling League Division 2A final between Westmeath and Carlow acts as a curtain-raiser, throwing in at 3:30PM.
Meanwhile, there have been a host of other fixture rearrangements due to the fact that the weather caused havoc once again this past weekend.
Dublin’s NHL quarter-final against Tipperary will now take place at Croke Park, as part of a doubleheader with the Dubs taking on Monaghan in football. Wexford and Galway will face off on Saturday.
The hurling league semi-finals will take place on March 31st/April 1st, with the decider being played on Sunday, April 8.
In football, the final round of games will go ahead as planned this weekend. Some of the outstanding fixtures from round 6 may not be re-fixed if they are deemed to be dead rubbers.
